The personal objects & natural elements that surround us each day connect us to our lives and the people we share them with. My objective in this work is to convey the beauty and complexity of those combinations.
I am trained as a designer and my love of pattern and composition are evident in my work. I started painting in college, admiring the work of friends who were studying in the Fine Art program. I graduated from The University of Cincinnati (college of Design, Architecture, Art, & Planning) with a degree in Fashion Design. I worked for 10 years in the industry, including 8 years in New York with Ralph Lauren. I left to care for my twins that were born 10 weeks early. While at home, I started painting again… and never stopped.
I’m a native of Cleveland, Ohio and have been a Texan for 14 years. There were many states in-between, but - as they say, I got here as soon as I could!
